The RN Triage position is responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs through telephone contact with patients, parents, or guardians. The role's objective is to support clinic practices by adhering to established communication protocols that promote patient-centered care. A critical aspect of this position involves the proper triage and escalation of cases to clinic providers.

Requirements

Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
Exhibits ability to manage time and prioritize work
Possess excellent time management skills
Proficient using computers, including all Microsoft programs
Promote the mission and values of CoxHealth
Current Registered Nurse License active in the state of Missouri

Nice To Haves

Previous nursing experience, especially in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting

Responsibilities

Assessing patient health problems and needs via telephone contact with patient/parent/guardian
Supporting clinic practices by using established protocols for communication with the patient/parents/guardian in a way that supports patient-centered care
Proper triage and escalation of cases to the clinic providers
Refer and coordinate services in an effort to deliver integrated health services
