About The Position

Makes nursing decisions in uncertain conditions, drawing on broad, in-depth knowledge and recognizing life-threatening emergencies. Uses systematic, comprehensive patient assessment tools and applies protocols appropriately. Uses excellent interviewing, documentation, and communication skills to assess patients directly and indirectly. Practices nursing through the nursing process, providing advice based on best practices, critical judgment, and protocols. Coordinates patient care with other health care team members.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Five years of clinical RN experience demonstrating solid assessment and visualization skills.
• Patient education and proactive disease management experience.
• Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and identifies actual or potential health, safety, or educational needs.
• Implements nursing interventions based on the plan of care.
• Uses communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
• Evaluates care and patients’ responses to interventions and expected outcomes systematically.
• Facilitates continuity of care through interdisciplinary collaboration and coordination of appropriate health care services.
