About The Position

The Weekend RN Supervisor is responsible for maintaining quality resident care and nursing operations during weekend shifts. The role requires dependability, professionalism, consistent attendance, multitasking, and the ability to lead and collaborate in a fast-paced environment. Assigned shifts require a minimum of eight consecutive hours of work per day. The supervisor assigns and delegates nursing staff duties based on resident census and staff availability; oversees medication administration and reorders; ensures care plans are followed according to company policy and physician orders; performs and supervises treatments and serves as staff nurse as needed; manages physician orders, assessments, and records; participates in shift reports; enforces infection-control procedures and safe work practices; coordinates coverage for staffing shortages; investigates variances and completes incident reports; contacts families; and monitors lab orders, results, and physician follow-up.

Requirements

Be a Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Texas.
Demonstrate strong technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
Have excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
Remain composed during emergencies and manage workflow effectively.
Be passionate about quality resident care and collaborative team support.
Work a minimum of eight consecutive hours per day during assigned shifts.
Demonstrate reliability, trustworthiness, and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

Assign and delegate nursing staff duties based on resident census and staff availability.
Monitor medication administration and coordinate medication reorders.
Ensure care plans are followed according to company policy and physician orders.
Perform and supervise treatments, and serve as staff nurse as needed.
Transcribe physician orders promptly, complete assessments, and maintain accurate records.
Participate in shift reports and ensure staff are informed of care needs.
Enforce infection-control procedures and safe work practices.
Coordinate coverage for staffing shortages.
Investigate variances, contact families, and complete incident reports.
Monitor lab orders and results and ensure physician follow-up.
