RN Supervisor (Every other Weekend)
About The Position
Saint Mary Home is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as the clinical leader of the building during an every-other-Saturday shift from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The RN Supervisor provides clinical oversight, supports nursing staff, and ensures residents receive high-quality, person-centered care. The role involves collaborating with nurses, CNAs, providers, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team; exercising independent clinical judgment; and serving as the on-duty leader and decision-maker when administration is absent. The position is part-time and is designed for an RN who values weekend leadership and meaningful involvement in resident care.
Requirements
- Active Connecticut RN license.
- At least three years of nursing experience, including one year in long-term care.
- Strong assessment, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff.
- Monitor resident care, address concerns, and respond to changes in residents' conditions.
- Serve as the leader and decision-maker on duty in the absence of administration.
- Coach and support team members while promoting accountability and excellence.
- Partner with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.
- Help maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
