About The Position

Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking an RN Supervisor for Nursing Administration. This evening shift position involves full-time hours from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a commitment to every other weekend and holiday. The role focuses on supervising and directing interdisciplinary teams, managing daily workflow, planning patient care, and evaluating staff performance. The schedule is 5 days one week and 4 days the next, totaling 36 hours per pay period.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
Bachelors Degree in nursing a must.
1 years experience in a supervisory or management position a must.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct interdisciplinary teams of licensed and non-licensed staff to deliver high-quality, population-appropriate patient care.
Interview job candidates and provide hiring recommendations for new unit staff.
Assess shift-level patient needs, create care assignments, and delegate duties based on staff competencies and the State Nurse Practice Act.
Gather input from healthcare team members to plan and coordinate patient care across the assigned unit.
Provide immediate feedback, continuously assess staff performance, and contribute to performance reviews and corrective actions.
