RN Staff Nurse - Endoscopy
About The Position
The RN Staff Nurse provides patient care within an assigned department or unit and participates as a member of the health care team, in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee. The role follows applicable Registered Nurse Standards and Scope of Practice and Legacy Health System patient care standards, including standards for patient assessment and transfer. The nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. This opportunity is with the Endoscopy department at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, a hospital in Southwest Washington.
Requirements
- Current applicable state RN license.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- One year of registered nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program equivalent in content, curriculum, and duration.
- Current acute care Endoscopy experience in basic and advanced procedures.
- Ability to meet the 45-minute call requirement.
- Positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or degree in progress is strongly preferred; a BSN may be required for specific assignments. Experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.
- Experience with medical outpatient procedures desired.
- IV sedation experience preferred.
