RN Staff Nurse - Med Surg ICU
About The Position
Legacy Health is seeking an RN Staff Nurse for the 16-bed Medical/Surgical ICU at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. The role provides patient care within an assigned unit and participates as a member of the health care team, working in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee. The nurse follows the Registered Nurse Standards and Scope of Practice and Legacy Health System patient care standards, including standards for patient assessment and transfer. The RN assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. Legacy’s nursing philosophy centers on patients and their families, with nurses serving as advocates, communicators, problem-solvers, and caregivers. The hourly pay range is USD $56.68–$84.66.
Requirements
- Current applicable state RN license.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
- One year of ICU experience.
- One year of registered nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program equivalent in content, curriculum, and duration.
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
- Education as required by licensure.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or a degree in progress is strongly preferred.
- A BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.
