RN Staff Nurse - Med Surg ICU
About The Position
The RN Staff Nurse works in the 16-bed Medical/Surgical ICU at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, a hospital in Southwest Washington. Legacy’s nursing philosophy focuses on patients and their families, with nurses serving as advocates, communicators, problem-solvers, and caregivers. The nurse is responsible for patient care within an assigned department or unit and participates as a member of the healthcare team, in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee. The RN assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care according to Legacy Health System standards, including standards for patient assessment and transfer.
Requirements
- One year of registered nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or an equivalent nursing program.
- One year of ICU experience.
- Positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
- Current applicable state RN license.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or degree in progress is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
