About The Position

The RN Staff Nurse provides patient care within an assigned department or unit and participates as a member of the health care team, working in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee. The role follows the applicable Registered Nurse Standards and Scope of Practice and Legacy Health System patient care standards, including standards for patient assessment and transfer. The nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.

This position is based in the Emergency Department at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center, a community hospital in Tualatin serving the south metro area. Its 24/7, 17-bed ED cares for approximately 37,500 adult and pediatric patients annually. Patients are also cared for in a 10-room Ambulatory Care Unit from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Requirements

• Education as required by licensure.
• One year of registered nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program equivalent in content, curriculum, and duration.
• Current applicable state RN license.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Nice To Haves

• BSN or degree in progress is strongly preferred.
• Emergency RN experience is preferred.
