RN Staff Nurse - Emergency
About The Position
The RN Staff Nurse provides patient care within an assigned department or unit and participates as a member of the health care team, working in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee. The role follows the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse and Legacy Health System patient care standards, including standards for patient assessment and transfer. The nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. The position is based in the Emergency Department at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center in Tualatin, Oregon. The 24/7 ED has 17 beds and serves adult and pediatric patients. Patients are also cared for in a 10-room Ambulatory Care Unit from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Requirements
- Education as required by licensure.
- One year of registered nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or an equivalent nursing program in content, curriculum, and duration.
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
- Current applicable state RN license.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or a degree in progress is strongly preferred; a BSN may be required for specific assignments. Experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.
- Emergency RN experience preferred.
