About The Position

Provides direct patient care in the Oncology Infusion specialty unit in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization’s policies, values, and mission. The role requires critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment while taking appropriate action. The nurse assesses patient and family learning needs and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. The nurse plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes and use available resources effectively; monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition; and collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, disposition, referrals, and spiritual or psychosocial support. The role also includes effective delegation to ancillary personnel and may include precepting student nurses and new hires. This is a full-time, day-shift position in Pembroke Pines, Florida. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is stated in the job title.

Requirements

Accredited nursing program education.
Current Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Florida.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
One year of nursing experience.
Critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate is required for RNs administering chemotherapy.

Responsibilities
