About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join their team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. This is a full-time, seasonal position working 36 hours per week on the night shift (7pm-7am), 2 or 3 days per week. The Cardiac Care Unit is a 36-bed telemetry monitored nursing unit that cares for a wide variety of adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as Myocardial Infarction, Coronary Artery Bypass, Pre/Post Heart Transplant Patients, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, Percutaneous Trans-luminal coronary angioplasty, Chest Pain, Congestive Heart Failure, Vascular surgery, Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), and Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring. The unit integrates with multidisciplinary teams and is grounded in evidence-based practices, valuing shared governance, professional growth, quality care, and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
• Minimum 18 Months of RN experience, Acute Care or Hospital setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the field of nursing
• A valid Registered Nurse license
• The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• ACLS/NIH within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with a wide variety of conditions including Myocardial Infarction, Coronary Artery Bypass, Pre/Post Heart Transplant Patients, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, Percutaneous Trans-luminal coronary angioplasty, Chest Pain, Congestive Heart Failure, Vascular surgery, Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), and Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams including social services, case management, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and dietary.
• Provide quality care to patients based on best evidence-based practices.
• Contribute to the unit's values of shared governance, professional growth, quality care, and patient satisfaction.
