About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join their team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. This is a full-time position (36 hours per week) on the Cardiac Care Unit, a 36-bed telemetry monitored nursing unit that cares for a wide variety of patients ranging in age from Adults to Geriatrics. The unit treats conditions such as Myocardial Infarction, Coronary Artery Bypass, Pre/Post Heart Transplant Patients, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, Percutaneous Trans-luminal coronary angioplasty, Chest Pain, Congestive Heart Failure, Vascular surgery, Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), and Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring. The Cardiac Care Unit collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and is grounded in evidence-based practices, valuing shared governance, professional growth, quality care, and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
• Minimum 18 Months of RN experience, Acute Care or Hospital setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Graduated from an Accredited Program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing
• RN license
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role

Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry monitored nursing care to patients ranging in age from Adults to Geriatrics.
• Care for patients with conditions including Myocardial Infarction, Coronary Artery Bypass, Pre/Post Heart Transplant Patients, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, Percutaneous Trans-luminal coronary angioplasty, Chest Pain, Congestive Heart Failure, Vascular surgery, Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), and Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring.
• Integrate with multidisciplinary teams including social services, case management, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and dietary.
• Provide quality care to patients based on best evidence-based practices.
• Participate in shared governance and professional growth initiatives.
