About The Position
A Nurse Resident is a new graduate direct clinical care registered nurse (RN) who continues to develop nursing knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors introduced in formal education as they transition into practice. They are expected to demonstrate the appropriate competency in both core and functional areas. Progression is expected in the areas of leading through mission vision and values, patient/customer focus, taking ownership, health care knowledge, teamwork, clinical performance improvement, service excellence, decision making and critical thinking, and patient safety.
Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse: TN, GA, or other multi-state compact RN license.
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) American Heart Association upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 120 Days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 Days
