About The Position
UR Medicine Thompson Health is seeking graduating RN students for their 2026/2027 RN Residency Program. This program offers a structured environment with supportive coworkers and leadership invested in professional growth. It aims to bridge the gap between school and independent practice by developing a solid clinical foundation through mentorship and building confidence, knowledge, and skills. The program is a full-time opportunity with varied shifts and rotations.
Requirements
- Graduate of approved school of nursing (2 or 4 year degrees). BSN preferred but AS welcomed!
- Successful completion of NYS nursing licensing exam
- Current BLS
- Previous healthcare experience preferred i.e., Nurse Aide, LPN, Tech
- Good Communication skills and skilled in customer service
- Team player
- Reliability and flexibility
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
Responsibilities
- Assures that the environment is optimal to meet the needs of each patient by safe and effective organization, utilization and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Responsible for patient teaching, coordinating the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining the standards of professional nursing practice.
