RN Paramedic Educator
About The Position
The EMS Specialist collaborates with the EMS Manager to support and enhance Medical City Plano’s EMS Medical Control program. The role develops and delivers educational programs for EMS agencies, maintains proficiency in EMS protocols and skills, conducts field evaluations, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. The specialist serves as a liaison to EMS providers, reviews patient care reports, and assists with performance improvement initiatives. Additional responsibilities include using online education platforms, supporting mass casualty preparedness, and serving as a resource for EMS personnel. Strong communication, leadership, and technical skills are essential.
Requirements
- Texas State RN license or accepted compact license.
- Associate degree.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP) or Paramedic (EMT-P).
- Obtain BLS and ACLS Instructor credentials within one year of hire.
- Obtain EMS Instructor credentials within one year of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous clinical experience in an ED, ICU, or CCU and EMS experience preferred.
- Experience in EMS, nursing education, or card courses is a plus.
