About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that supports patients’ well-being and recovery. You will provide individualized, comprehensive care by assessing patients, performing skilled procedures, and implementing patient care plans. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment focused on patient outcomes.

This position is at Saint Joseph London, a 150-bed regional hospital in London, Kentucky, situated on a 52-acre campus. Saint Joseph London is part of CommonSpirit Health, a nonprofit Catholic health system.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing upon hire.
• Enroll in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program within two years of hire and complete it within five years of hire.
• Registered Nurse license for Kentucky, required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR), required within 14 days.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, required within 90 days.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course, required within 12 months.
• Keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, a patient-first mindset, a sense of urgency, and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients by assessing their health and continuously monitoring for changes in symptoms, health, or pain, then take action as necessary.
• Assess patient care needs quickly and accurately.
• Respond to life-saving situations according to nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Set priorities in the plan of care based on assessed needs and anticipate the personnel, supplies, and equipment required to care for patients.
• Collaborate with providers to deliver exceptional care.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Provide education to patients and their families.
