About The Position

The RN Ortho Neuro Trauma Stepdown provides clinical expertise and nursing care for patients in a medical-surgical environment. The role involves assessing, planning, intervening in, and evaluating patient care while supporting high-quality, efficient outcomes. The nurse also teaches patients and families about medications and treatment instructions, maintains and reviews patient records, posts test and examination results, and administers medications according to physician orders. The posting states that no travel is required and no experience is required.

Requirements

• Florida Registered Nurse license in accordance with state regulations, or appropriate compact licensure. If holding a compact license, an active Florida RN license is required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Critical-thinking skills, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• PC skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
