About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based team. The role uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making, collaborate with colleagues, and have opportunities for professional development. The position is scheduled for a 0.9 FTE night shift, with 12-hour shifts and every other weekend. It is based at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving Puyallup and East Pierce County.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS certification.
ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
Certification in a specialty area.
One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
