About The Position
This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Obstetrics, specifically Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum care. The role involves providing comprehensive obstetrical nursing care, monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, assisting during labor and delivery, and caring for postpartum mothers and newborns. The nurse will also educate patients and families, maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR, manage unit supplies, and promote collaboration. Adherence to hospital policies, nursing standards, and patient confidentiality is essential.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 Years of RN Experience Required
- Minimum 1 Year of Acute Care RN Experience Required
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Active Maine RN License Required
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE Certification

- Recent Obstetrics / Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
