About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Obstetrics Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients in the unit. The nurse ensures continuity of care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising care delivered by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The role also includes patient and family teaching and serving as a patient advocate in alignment with the organization's mission.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of previous experience working on an obstetrics unit.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the nursing unit.
- Ensure continuity of patient care between shifts.
- Provide direct patient care.
- Supervise care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff members.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
