About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the OB Department at Avita Ontario Hospital. The RN provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs within the nursing unit. The role supports continuity of care across shifts through direct patient care and supervision of nursing assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and support staff. The RN also serves as a patient advocate and educator while supporting the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- BLS certification, or obtain it within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS certification, or obtain it within six months of hire.
- NRP certification, or obtain it within six months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of OB nursing experience.
- C-EFM.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs within the nursing unit.
- Provide direct nursing care and help ensure continuity of care across shifts.
- Supervise nursing assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and support staff.
