About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Obstetrics Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients in the unit. The position supports continuity of patient care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising care delivered by nursing assistants, LPNs, and other support staff. The RN participates in patient and family education and serves as a patient advocate in alignment with the organization’s mission. This is a full-time night-shift position, scheduled 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., for 72 hours per pay period.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation certification.

- Two or more years of previous experience working on an obstetrics unit.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the unit.
- Provide direct patient care and help ensure continuity of care between shifts.
- Supervise care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff members.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
- Advocate for patients while maintaining a focus on the organization’s mission.
