About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Obstetrics Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients on the unit. The role ensures continuity of patient care between shifts through direct care and supervision of nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The RN participates in patient and family teaching and serves as a patient advocate in support of the organization’s mission.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of previous experience working on an obstetrics unit.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the nursing unit.
- Provide direct patient care and ensure continuity of care between shifts.
- Supervise care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff members.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
- Maintain a patient advocate role focused on the organization’s mission.
