About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Obstetric Department at Avita Ontario Hospital. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients in the unit. The role supports continuity of patient care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising care delivered by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The RN participates in patient and family teaching and serves as a patient advocate in alignment with the organization’s mission.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NRP certification.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of previous OB nursing experience.
- C-EFM certification.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the nursing unit.
- Provide direct patient care and help ensure continuity of care between shifts.
- Supervise care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff members.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
- Maintain a patient-advocate role focused on the organization’s mission.
