About The Position

We're looking for an experienced Emergency Department leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about developing high-performing teams. This role involves leading one of our busiest departments, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and compassionate patient care. The Nurse Manager will support frontline caregivers, partner with physicians, and help shape the future of emergency services. The Nurse Manager will provide leadership for a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional emergency care, creating an environment where nurses feel supported, patients receive outstanding care, and collaboration drives positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current Texas RN license or Compact RN License.
  • Current AHA or ARC BLS certification.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in an acute care setting.
  • Recent Emergency Department experience is required.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing nursing teams.
  • Experience with budgeting, physician relationship management, quality improvement initiatives, and operational leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
  • TNCC within 18 months of hire.
  • ENPC or CEN within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a highly engaged Emergency Department nursing team.
  • Oversee daily department operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
  • Foster strong partnerships with physicians, hospital leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and department performance.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and operational planning while supporting organizational goals.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coach and support leaders and staff through professional development, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Build a positive, collaborative culture where teamwork, accountability, and excellence are celebrated.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Benefits

  • Starting Salary: $51.17/hour and up, based on experience
  • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000
