About The Position

Emplify Health is seeking new graduate Registered Nurses (RNs) for an innovative pathway program designed to accelerate their progression into high-acuity departments, specifically Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This program involves approximately one year in specific preparatory departments to build the necessary skills and experience for a successful career in acute Pediatrics and PICU. During this orientation period, professional development nurses will provide support and guidance to foster professional growth. The role involves providing patient and family-centered care on a 10-bed Pediatric unit and a 4-bed PICU unit, caring for pediatric patients with varying levels of acuity. The multidisciplinary team includes RNs, CNAs, Child Life Specialists, Hospitalists, Intensivists, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and other support staff.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing
  • RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification
  • PALS certification within 6 months of transfer to the Peds/PICU
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Hospital or EMS experience preferred
