About The Position

We are looking for new graduates to accelerate their progression to a high-acuity department through our innovative pathway program. These positions will spend approximately one year in specific departments that will assist in preparation for your career in the acute Pediatrics and PICU. These positions will have orientation in specific departments that will assist in preparation for your career in the acute Pediatrics and PICU. Your professional development nurses will support you along the way and help you grow your professional practice to ensure you have a successful career in your chosen specialty. When working on our 10-bed Pediatric and 4-bed PICU unit, you will provide patient and family-centered care for pediatric patients with varying levels of acuity. The Peds/PICU multidisciplinary team consists of highly skilled RNs, CNAs, Child Life Specialists, Hospitalists, Intensivists, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and other support staff.

Requirements

Minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing
RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
PALS within 6 months of transfer to the Peds/PICU
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Nice To Haves

Prior Hospital or EMS experience preferred
