RN New Grad/Nurse Residency
About The Position
Sovah Health - Danville, part of Lifepoint Health, hires new graduate registered nurses into an evidence-based Nurse Residency Program. The program provides hands-on, structured support to help nurses transition from new graduates to confident, competent registered nurses. Residents are automatically enrolled in a comprehensive 12-month program covering clinical competence, culture transition, and leadership development. Program components include paid participation, flexible self-paced learning modules and knowledge checks, one-on-one guidance from a trained preceptor, exposure to patient safety, communication, healthcare business, and change management, and a supported evidence-based-practice capstone project. The RN joins a supportive, team-based environment focused on high-acuity patient care and professional growth. The position is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts, with day or night scheduling indicated in the posting, and every other weekend. The stated hourly range is $31.49–$34.00.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited nursing school.
- RN licensure.
- BCLS.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify patient needs, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to deliver safe, high-quality care.
- Adapt and demonstrate resilience while managing time and prioritizing patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Ask questions, seek feedback, and continuously build clinical knowledge and confidence.
- Participate in the 12-month Nurse Residency Program, including learning modules, preceptor support, and an evidence-based-practice capstone project.
