RN New Grad/Nurse Residency
About The Position
Sovah Health - Martinsville is hiring a New Graduate Registered Nurse to join its team-based environment focused on high-acuity patient care and professional growth. New graduate nurses are automatically enrolled in a comprehensive, paid 12-month Nurse Residency Program with phases in clinical competence, culture transition, and leadership development. The program includes flexible, self-paced learning modules and knowledge checks, one-on-one guidance from a trained preceptor, exposure to topics such as patient safety and communication, and a supported evidence-based-practice Capstone project. The role is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts, with day or night shifts listed and every other weekend required. The hourly pay range is $31.49 to $34.00. The RN provides patient-centered care and works with patients, families, and team members to deliver safe, high-quality care while developing clinical skills and confidence.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited nursing school.
- RN licensure.
- BCLS.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify patient needs, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to support safe, high-quality care.
- Manage time and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Ask questions, seek feedback, and continue building clinical knowledge and confidence.
- Participate in the Nurse Residency Program, including learning activities and an evidence-based-practice Capstone project.
