About The Position

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neurological Unit at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD. The role focuses on providing nursing care to patients with neurological conditions, including seizure disorders. Responsibilities include performing frequent neurological checks, documenting changes in patient status, responding to acute neurological events, and collaborating with the neurology care team. This is a night shift position only.

Requirements

• 2 years acute care hospital nursing in Medical Surgical care
• Strong, specific experience in Neuro and seizure management (required — general med-surg without neuro exposure does not qualify)
• Seizure monitoring/management
• Neuro assessments (e.g., NIHSS-type checks)
• Management of neurologically complex patients
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross)
• BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma from an accredited program
• Passed NCLEX
• Any state license works (current, active, unrestricted)

Responsibilities
