About The Position
Embark on an exciting career opportunity in a specialized neurological unit, where you can enhance your nursing and critical thinking skills while caring for patients with a variety of neurological conditions. This unit provides a comprehensive learning environment for those interested in stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and more. As a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the region, this unit cares for many acute and complex patients. Employing state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology, the team evaluates, diagnoses, and treats seizures. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that values the skills, talents, and compassion of nursing professionals in delivering high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Active RN License in New York
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- NIHSS certification
