About The Position

The Registered Nurse manages all aspects of the nursing process and delivers patient- and family-centered care. The nurse has the responsibility and authority to request and use governing and administrative resources, technological and support systems, and multidisciplinary clinical experts necessary to manage and deliver quality, cost-effective patient care. The position is onsite at North Shore Medical Center, Inc., at 81 Highland Avenue, with 36 scheduled weekly hours and a rotating shift. Nurses transitioning into a new area who do not yet possess the required skills will be trained.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
BLS certification required.
Ability to perform the job successfully within the scope of nursing and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served in the assigned department.
Certifications in CPR, PALS, ACLS, and BLS may be required upon hire for specific patient care units.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
ACLS preferred.
