About The Position
Registered Nurse for Med-Surg Unit (MSU) for adult geriatrics and pediatric patients. With EXCELLENT Staffing Ratios: Non-Covid: typically, 4:1, max 5:1. Covid patients: typically, 2:1, max 3:1.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of med-surg experience
- 1-year pediatric experience required
- Must be comfortable with both adult and pediatric patients.
- American Heart Association
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to medical and surgical patients.
- Assess patients’ conditions and monitor vital signs and overall health status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Respond effectively to urgent and changing patient care needs.
- Support a positive and professional patient-care environment.
