About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a RN - Med/Surg Telemetry for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bronx, NY. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients on the Telemetry and Medical-Surgical unit, including monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications, performing procedures like IV insertion and phlebotomy, and coordinating care with the healthcare team. Accurate electronic health record documentation and adherence to patient safety and quality standards are essential.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
Active New York State Registered Nurse License.
AHA BLS Certification.
AHA ACLS Certification.
Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience.
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience.
Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience.
Strong telemetry interpretation and clinical assessment skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a high-acuity acute care hospital setting.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR).
Strong cardiac monitoring and patient management skills.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients admitted to the Telemetry and Medical-Surgical unit.
Monitor, interpret, and report cardiac rhythms and telemetry changes.
Administer and monitor conscious sedation in accordance with facility policies and standards.
Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and wound care.
Conduct ongoing patient assessments and identify changes requiring intervention.
Coordinate patient care with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation.
Support patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance.
