About The Position

The RN Manager oversees activities, workflow, and nursing resources for assigned nursing units in Cardiac Holding. The role ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, manages staff hiring and development, addresses issues affecting patient care, develops and implements unit policies and procedures, and monitors the unit budget. The team provides outpatient cardiovascular diagnostics and interventional procedures using three cardiac catheterization labs, including heart catheterization, PCI, stent placement, balloon angioplasty, IVUS and OCT imaging, FFR and iFR assessments, and structural heart procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, PFO closure, and device implantation. The position is based at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham and is scheduled Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Alabama Registered Nurse licensure, obtained before the hire or job transfer date.
BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of the hire or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
Required professional licensure/certification.
At least 3 years of experience.
At least 1 year of cumulative leadership experience.

Hire, train, direct, develop, and evaluate staff.
Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of patient care services for assigned unit(s).
Develop and implement policies and procedures to support efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit.
Monitor and adhere to the budget; approve or monitor expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
