The Non-Invasive Cardiology Specialist is an essential member of a highly trained cardiac team that includes a Supervising Cardiologist and an ETT technician or second Cardiac Specialist. This RN works collaboratively across the continuum of care to help patients move through the system safely and efficiently while providing non-invasive diagnostic services to detect coronary artery disease. The specialist is responsible for the safe screening, administration, and recovery of adult inpatients and outpatients receiving exercise or pharmacologic cardiac stress tests under the direct or personal supervision of a Cardiologist. The role works within the team to provide a high level of customer service in a safe and supportive environment. The care delivery model prioritizes patient and family education and fosters compassion and empathy throughout cardiac stress testing.
