RN - LTC/ Long Term Care
About The Position
Registered Nurse providing long-term care in a 38-resident nursing home attached to a hospital. The facility has private rooms and uses Point Click Care EMR. Patients commonly have COPD, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and congestive heart failure. The role has no clinical involvement, IVs, titratable drips, or strip reading. Physicians are available after hours, and medications are dispensed using blister pack cards. An on-site pharmacy is available. Shifts are 8 or 12 hours. Block scheduling is available based on need. Weekend and holiday work is required every other. There is no call or standby requirement and no floating. The facility provides the dress code/scrubs (VivPost).
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN).
- BLS certification required.
- At least 1 year of experience.
- Must have medication-pass and supervisory skills.
- Self-motivated.
Nice To Haves
- Previous nursing home experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Pass medications.
- Provide wound care, Foley care, and ostomy care.
- Supervise CNAs and TMAs.
