RN - LTC/ Long Term Care
About The Position
The RN works in a 26-bed long-term care facility serving residents with conditions including heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. The role has no clinical involvement beyond the listed nursing duties. Nurses use the Matrix EMR and act as charge nurse, pass medications, and provide wound care. Staffing ratios are 1:10 on days and 1:19 at night. The position involves 12-hour shifts from 7 to 7, with no blocked scheduling or self-scheduling. Nurses work every other weekend and every other major holiday. There is no call, standby, or floating requirement. Orientation specific to the unit or department lasts 2–3 shifts.
Requirements
- Long-term care experience.
- BLS certification.
