About The Position

The Carriages of Rochester is seeking an RN/LPN to provide high-quality, holistic nursing care in accordance with professional nursing practice. The position leads licensed and non-professional staff in delivering direct resident care and support functions. Experience working with Memory Care is required. The role involves shifts of 3 to 8 hours, scheduled between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a licensed nurse.
• Experience working with Memory Care is required.
• Ability to undertake a variety of care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with assisted living procedures.
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.
• Knowledge of Point Click Care.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate disposition and ability to handle stress.

Responsibilities

• Take and record measurements such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
• Observe residents receiving treatment to identify progress and medication side effects.
• Assist residents with daily activities such as eating and bathing.
• Administer injections and prescribed medications.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with residents’ family members or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
• Lead licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care and support functions.
