This opportunity is available to anyone that is currently credentialed as an RN, LPN or CMA. The position is responsible for providing professional nursing care for ambulatory clinic patients following up with cardiovascular/thoracic surgeon. Supports the CV program through management of the outpatient clinic daily operations, education and patient oversight. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as the primary liaison between patients, staff and providers (including surgical and hospital staff). Performs all functions in accordance with regulatory and professional standards.

Requirements

  • RN: Graduate of a nursing program. Follows most current standards for continuing education requirements as dictated by State/Federal licensure requirements
  • LPN: Graduate of a nursing program Follows most current standards for continuing education requirements as dictated by State/Federal licensure requirements
  • CMA: Graduate of a medical assisting program and has passed the CMA/RMA Certification Examination of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologists and maintains currency of the CMA/RMA Credential
  • RN: Basic Life Support
  • RN: RN MT licensure
  • RN: ACLS
  • LPN: Current state LPN license
  • LPN: Basic Life Support
  • LPN: ACLS
  • CMA: Graduate of a medical assisting program and has passed the CMA/RMA Certification Examination of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologists and maintains currency of the CMA/RMA Credential
  • CMA: BLS
  • CMA: ACLS
  • RN : LPN or CMA outpatient clinic experience preferred.
  • Must understand EKG, cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac medications and procedures.
  • Basic coronary class is required
  • At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience, preferred.
  • RN: Medical Terminology
  • RN: Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures
  • RN: Keyboarding skills
  • RN: Basic office skills
  • LPN: Medical Terminology
  • LPN: Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures

Nice To Haves
