About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) uses the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes and planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents and their families, providers, and other interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The position serves residents in a skilled nursing facility providing assisted living, long-term, and post-acute care.

Requirements

Hold an active, unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where nursing practice occurs, or hold multistate licensure if practicing in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
An active RN license is required at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program is preferred.
A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide resident care across phases of preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
Coordinate care, assess residents, provide resident education, and perform other nursing interventions.
Collaborate with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and use applicable age- and population-specific standards for the assigned clinical setting.
May serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel according to role descriptions, skills, resident needs, and delegate competence.
Provide delegates with assistance and support to help ensure safe, reliable resident care and resolve care and service concerns.
Practice in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, applicable administrative rules, and professional nursing standards and ethics.
