About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a RN – Labor & Delivery for an exciting Travel/Contract job based in Bronx, NY. This is a 13-week contract position with a pay rate of $70 - $82 per Hour, working 3 x 11.5-Hour Shifts for a total of 34.5 Hours Per Week.

Requirements

Active New York State RN License.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child/Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
Minimum 2 years of IV Insertion experience.
Minimum 2 years of Phlebotomy experience.
Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience.
AHA BLS Certification.
AHA ACLS Certification.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
Primary Source Verification of RN License & Registration from NYSED.

Nice To Haves

Strong maternal-child health and labor & delivery clinical skills.
Experience working in fast-paced acute care hospital settings.
Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
Strong documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) experience.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and postpartum patients.
Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery.
Assist physicians and healthcare providers during deliveries and obstetric procedures.
Perform IV insertions, medication administration, and phlebotomy procedures.
Monitor patients receiving conscious sedation and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
