About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Ambulatory Care for an exciting Local or Travel job in Syracuse, NY. This role involves providing direct nursing care in an outpatient vascular surgery clinic, performing patient assessments, supporting physicians, documenting care using EPIC EMR, monitoring patient conditions, coordinating patient flow, providing patient education, communicating with teams, ensuring compliance with protocols, and maintaining high-quality, safe, and patient-centered ambulatory care.

Requirements

  • Current New York State RN License.
  • Current BLS Certification (or ability to recertify).
  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience within the last 2 years.
  • Experience in a hospital of similar size/level or trauma center.
  • Strong clinical assessment and nursing judgment skills.
  • Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Ambulatory Care or Outpatient Clinic settings.
  • Experience in Vascular Surgery or Specialty Clinic environments.
  • Strong proficiency with EPIC EMR systems.
  • Prior triage experience in clinical or outpatient settings.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care in an outpatient vascular surgery clinic.
  • Perform patient assessments, triage, and clinical evaluation.
  • Support physicians during outpatient visits and procedures.
  • Document all patient care accurately using EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Monitor and follow up on patient conditions and treatment responses.
  • Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Provide patient education regarding procedures, treatments, and post-care instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and healthcare standards.
  • Maintain high-quality, safe, and patient-centered ambulatory care.
