About The Position
The RN IPC Clinic position provides needed coverage for various shifts on a per-diem basis. The nurse ensures quality patient care in accordance with the Washington State Nurse Practice Act and TriState Health and departmental nursing standards. Using the nursing process, the role focuses primarily on direct patient care and care coordination.
Requirements
- Current Washington State or multistate RN license.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS/CPR certification cards on hire or within the orientation period.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent phone etiquette.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills, including experience with electronic medical record systems.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, or equivalent college coursework.
- Clinic experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments, including peri-operative education and care.
- Recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
- Promote positive teamwork with departmental staff, surgeons, physicians, anesthesia personnel, and other department personnel.
- Help maintain a safe patient-care environment.
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills and participate in precepting.
