RN IPC Clinic - Per Diem

About The Position

The RN IPC Clinic position provides per-diem coverage for various shifts. The nurse ensures quality care for patients in accordance with the Washington State Nurse Practice Act and Tri-State Hospital and departmental nursing standards. Using the nursing process, the role focuses primarily on direct patient care and coordinating that care.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
Current Washington State or Multi-State RN license.
Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS/CPR certification card on hire or within the orientation period.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent phone etiquette.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records systems.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, or equivalent college coursework.
Clinic experience.

Responsibilities

Use nursing assessment skills, including peri-operative education and care.
Recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
Promote positive teamwork with departmental staff, surgeons, physicians, anesthesia, and other departmental personnel.
Help maintain a safe patient-care environment.
Demonstrate effective leadership skills and participate as a preceptor.
