About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital as an RN in the IV Infusion Center. The role administers infusions and provides direct nursing care, including implementing and monitoring patient care plans, administering medications and treatments, assessing and coordinating discharge plans, and monitoring, recording, documenting, and communicating patients’ conditions. The RN also carries out physician and nursing orders and educates patients and their families.

The position is part of a supportive caregiver team focused on patient-centered care. The schedule is a day/evening rotation from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) scheduled once every 6–7 weeks.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the AHA or ALS certification through the American Red Cross must be presented upon hire or within the first year of employment, based on the department service level for which the RN is hired.
• One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior infusion therapy experience.
• Advanced knowledge of chemotherapy medications and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including infusions.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
