About The Position

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. This position is represented by UFCW.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification.
All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Acute care facility experience.

Responsibilities

Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
Develops a plan prescribing interventions to attain outcomes; implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, promotes health and a safe environment, and evaluates progress toward outcomes.
Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.
Provides health information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team.
Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Supervises and directs assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines.
