About The Position

Mercy Hospital’s 32-bed ICU Step Down unit is part of the critical care service line and cares for patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. The unit’s higher-acuity population primarily includes neurological, medical, and surgical patients. Its neurological specialty is part of a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program. The position is part-time, working nights for 24 hours per week.

Requirements

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure in the state where nursing duties are performed, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is acceptable.
