About The Position

The RN House Supervisor provides leadership, management, and oversight in the absence of administrative and management staff, ensuring smooth hospital operations and high-quality patient care. This role supports the nursing team and hospital departments by facilitating patient flow, expediting patient placement, and addressing emergency or unusual circumstances. The RN House Supervisor acts as a resource and consultant, following up on issues and collaborating with appropriate departments and administrative personnel to resolve concerns promptly.

Requirements

• Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) required or relevant experience.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical Specialty Professional Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff and hospital teams during assigned shifts.
• Facilitate patient flow, expedite patient placement, and ensure timely discharge planning.
• Respond to emergency situations and unusual circumstances, providing guidance and support.
• Act as a communication link between staff, patients, families, and hospital departments to address concerns and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and hospital leadership to maintain operational efficiency.
• Follow up on problems or concerns with the appropriate department and/or administrative personnel to ensure resolution.
• Support hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards, fostering a safe and effective patient care environment.
